Pep-talk to self
Deep breaths. Now. You've had a great couple of weeks. Your students have been cooperative, productive, lovable. Take another deep breath; maybe close your eyes for a minute. The morning was warm, the air crisp. Right now, you have your feet up, and you're listening to your favourite music. You have finally completed all of those sorely neglected household chores this evening. You have even caught up on some e-mailing that you had been meaning to do for ages. Tomorrow is Friday, and you love Fridays. Your new camera will be arriving in the mail next week. There's still spaghetti in the fridge, and ice-cream in the freezer. The supermarket had your favourite firm tofu and soy chicken nuggets. In twenty-five days, you'll be off to Cuba. In twenty-two, you'll be seeing your sweetie. Concentrate on all of these things. Let go of everything else...because you want to, not because you need to. Ready? One final deep breath. I declare you blessed, poised, and happy.
